Care Built On Listening.

I believe that understanding your brain changes the way you experience your mental health.

When people understand why they're feeling the way they are, healing becomes less frightening and more empowering. That's why I believe education is just as important as treatment. My goal isn't simply to help you feel better, it's to help you understand yourself better.

I didn't originally set out to specialize in mental health.

I began my career as a Family Nurse Practitioner, caring for patients of all ages in a variety of healthcare settings. Along the way, I had the privilege of serving veterans, underserved communities, and families here in the United States, as well as during medical mission trips to Haiti and Nicaragua.

No matter where I practiced, I kept noticing the same pattern.

What looked like a physical symptom often had an emotional story behind it. Difficulty sleeping was often anxiety. Constant fatigue sometimes pointed to depression. Chronic pain was frequently made worse by overwhelming stress.

I realized many people weren't simply looking for another prescription. They wanted someone who would slow down, listen to their story, and understand the whole picture before deciding on the best path forward.

That realization inspired me to become board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner while building on my foundation as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Today, those two specialties allow me to care for both the mind and the whole person.

My Promise To You

My goal is for every client to leave each appointment feeling heard, understood, and hopeful.

Together, we'll make sense of what you're experiencing, develop a treatment plan that fits your life, and move forward at a pace that feels realistic and sustainable.

Medication can be an important part of treatment, but it's rarely the whole answer. I believe the best outcomes come from combining thoughtful medication management with education, healthy lifestyle habits, therapy when appropriate, and a collaborative partnership built on trust.

Because when you understand your mind, you become empowered to take an active role in your healing.

At Excel Serenity Health, mental wellness is more than medication, it's a partnership.

What Working Together Looks Like

If you're searching for help for your teen, or for yourself, here's what to expect. We'll start with a comprehensive evaluation where I listen to the full story, not just the surface symptoms. Then we build a plan together: one that's clear, that makes sense, and that you can actually follow. Parents stay informed and involved every step of the way. From there, we adjust as we go. Progress isn't a straight line, and the plan shouldn't be rigid either.
